Well, I have a peculiar query. Some months ago I had downloaded a picture off Google Images and saved it in a folder in My Documents. I usually keep my folder appearance as Thumbnails. Now I deleted the picture accidentally....also from Recycle Bin. But the picture still gets displayed in the Thumbnail of the folder that i saved it in. So it must be somewhere on the computer right? How can i recover it? I will post a screen shot. Its the blue picture on the right of the red box.

Attached File(s)

Really sorry to say well the picture that is you see on the thumbnail is just taken from the thumbnail cache stored before when the pics where there. When windows refresh its thumbnail cache this will go.

You could have used file recovery software to recover files just after you deleted from recyclebin. The more time you give the more are the chances that the files would have been overwriten with new ones. Plus since its small small files the chances of recovering becomes even more worst.

BTW this topic should go to TECHNICAL section smile.gif

I use RESTORATION tool to recover my files. Its really easy to use and easy to store. I agree there are many more advance tools which require installation etc etc but this stands out best in terms of handy small tool.
